You're invited to a preview screening of American Experience JFK

Written by witf | Nov 6, 2013 3:00 PM

Join witf and our generous sponsor Saul Ewing LLP, for complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a free preview screening and panel discussion of American Experience JFK at the witf Public Media Center on November 7 from 6-8 p.m.

This new portrait offers a fresh assessment of the man, his accomplishments and his unfulfilled promise. Produced and directed by Susan Bellows, JFK features interviews with Kennedy family members and historians including Robert Dallek, Robert Caro, and Evan Thomas. Beginning with Kennedy's childhood years as a privileged but sickly son of one of the wealthiest men in America, the film explores his early political career as a lackluster congressman, his successful run for the U.S. Senate, and the game-changing presidential campaign that made him the youngest elected president in U.S. history.

This one hour screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring:

  • Tim Lambert, Moderator witf News Director
  • Shirley Anne Warshaw, Ph.D. Professor of Political Science at the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg University
  • James Hoefler, Ph.D. Professor of Political Science at Dickinson College
  • Glenn Richardson, Ph.D. Professor of Political Science at Kutztown University

Space is limited, and RSVP is required. Please RSVP to tiffany_johns@witf.org or 717-910-2894.

The full four hour documentary airs on witf TV on November 11 at 9 p.m. (part 1) and November 12 at 9 p.m. (conclusion).
