Written by witf.org | Jun 7, 2012 3:27 PM

witf is proud to host the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon production at witf’s Public Media Center from June 9 at 7 p.m. to June 10 at 6 p.m. The event will be broadcast on WGAL-TV8.

The Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that has affiliations with 170 children’s hospitals. Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital serves the Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York region. More than 95,000 children are treated annually at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, central Pennsylvania’s only pediatric trauma unit.

Children’s Miracle Network’s mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and the children and families it serves. Since it began locally in 1984, Children’s Miracle Network has raised more than $41 million for Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.

The funds raised by Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey are allocated to support a wide variety of high priority needs within the Children’s Hospital that have no other funding sources. Children’s Miracle Network supports pediatric services, programs, pieces of equipment and research at Children’s Hospital.

In the video below, meet Caden, who has been a patient at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital since before he was born. See how Children's Miracle Network helps kids like Caden while they are in the hospital.

To pledge, please visit PennStateHershey.org/CMN. Viewers will be encouraged to make a donation to help purchase equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
