Straight No Chaser
Straight-No-Chaser

On Friday June 10, 2011 at 8pm, the Gettysburg Festival, in partnership with witf is proud to set the stage for the all male a cappella group Straight No Chaser.  This group has taken the country by storm with their stellar vocals and stylish look.  Straight No Chaser has released three albums since 2008, and has performed to sold-out crowds during their “With a Twist” tour.  They will be performing classics from the 1950s and 1960s, along with contemporary and Motown inspired hits, adding their unique twist to each song.  This outdoor concert will leave you wanting more with each song.

 Children’s Arts Fair

On Friday June, 17 2011 from 12 – 6pm, the Gettysburg Festival, in partnership with witf, is hosting the Children’s Arts Fair, where children can develop an appreciation for the arts. The fair is an all day event where children and their parents can participate in more than a dozen artistic and cultural activities.  This year the fair is Curious-George inspired and you will go bananas with the variety of fun activities, ranging from face painting to storytelling to hands-on crafts.  You can also sing along all day as musicians play your child’s favorite tunes. But most importantly, don’t leave without getting your photo taken with the most beloved monkey, Curious George!

The Presidents of Mt. Rushmore

On Friday June 17, 2011 at 8pm, the Gettysburg Festival, in partnership with witf, will present The Presidents of Mt. Rushmore. This performance will follow revered presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt as they share how the United States Constitution impacted their presidency.  Discover the views these four men held about the Constitution and how their decisions shaped America.

Bob Newhart

 On Saturday June 18, 2011 at 8:00pm, the Gettysburg Festival, in partnership with witf, is honored to welcome Bob Newhart to the Majestic Theatre.  Newhart is currently in his 50th year in show business and will be performing a night of new and original material, while accompanied by a swingin’ jazz band.  Newhart is sure to draw laughter from his legendary delivery and signature stammer.  So come out to the Gettysburg Festival and have a good laugh with us! Tickets are now on sale at the Majestic Theatre for $65, $75, or $85. An exclusive $125 front seat and meet and greet ticket includes front seat tickets to the show and a champagne and dessert reception with Bob Newhart afterward.
