Rumschpringe International Short Film Festival

Written by Cary Burkett, Arts & Culture Desk and WITF Host | Oct 30, 2013 5:58 AM

The Rumschpringe International Short Film Festival will present its sixth annual season in collaboration with The Ware Center. Forty-seven short films have been chosen as this year’s Official Selections and will be shown in three screening rooms over 2 days, November 1 & 2, 2013.

The RISFF is seeking to establish the area as an annual destination for directors, producers, actors and aficionados of the medium of short films. RISFF hopes to provide strong support for the global independent film community by offering an annual competitive event with cash awards. The festival includes short films from Drama, Comedy, Horror, Animation, Music Videos, and the newly added category for Documentary.  Included will be films from local Lancaster filmmakers.

The RISFF kicks off First Friday November 1st, with a free showing of 10 films from the 2012 festival (6pm-8pm), followed by ticketed showings through Saturday evening.

On Saturday November 2nd at 9:00pm the Best of the Festival will be presented along with a brief awards-ceremony.  The entire list of films is available at the RISFF website.
