Ties and Tails

Dogs don't have bank accounts or mortgages, but that doesn't mean that they're not effected by the bad economy. The York SPCA has seen an increase in the number of pets being dropped off just as donations to the shelter are decreasing. Their solution? Ties and Tails.

This fundraising event is a sit-down dinner to which you can bring your pooch. In addition to dinner there will be a silent auction, "Yappy Hour", an award for best-dressed dog as well as the "Pawparazzi" hanging around capturing photos of the event.

Ties and Tails takes place on Saturday, September 8 beginning at 6pm at the Country Club of York.
