Something Hopeful: The Music of Isaac Gill

Written by Joe Ulrich, Arts & Culture Desk and WITF Host | Jul 17, 2012 1:09 PM

Isaac Gill's music can be a bit dreamy, a bit jazzy, and a bit folky with a constant current of hope sweeping it along. "One of the best compliments I've gotten about my lyrics," he says, "is that [they] sound hopeful. And that's something that I would like to share and spread more of. I just think there's not enough hopeful lyrics out there. And everybody already knows it's bad; it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. But to say something hopeful I think is rare."

Isaac hails from Williamsburg, VA, but makes stops here in the Central PA region from time to time to perform his music. He just released a new album of music called "Meanwhile" and will be performing at Folklore Coffee & Company in Elizabethtown on Saturday, July 28th.
