(Harrisburg) -- The State Ethics Commission has issued a $3,920 penalty against witf for failing to file a timely expense report for the fourth quarter of 2011.

The issuance of the Ethics Commission report indicates the case related to witf is now closed and resolved.

The violation was caused by an oversight -- a failure to file a report on time regarding lobbying activities on state funding.

witf President Kathleen Pavelko was responsible for filing the reports. "I believed that all reports had been filed promptly, but the complexities of the website procedures led me to an incorrect conclusion," she says. "I apologize for my error. "

"We have paid the fine associated with the violation. witf no longer has a lobbyist working on its behalf," she adds
