The YWCA of Greater Harrisburg recently hosted a reception on March 21 to highlight the thirty women who comprise the 2012 class at this year’s YWCA Tribute to Women of Excellence. witf's Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer Cara Williams Fry was among the honorees.
About the nomination, witf's Predient and CEO Kathleen Pavelko said:
It was my pleasure to nominate Cara. In my nomination, I wrote: Throughout her life, Cara has utilized her creative talents to serve others. And she’s exemplified how empathy plus commitment can make a difference to everyone who encounters her. I would like to thank the YWCA for this opportunity to recognize a woman who is actively making her world—and ours—a better, healthier and happier place.
At the event, the YWCA also introduced this year's TWE Legacy Award honoree, Joy B. Dougherty for her volunteer leadership role with Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania and her long-time commitment to numerous non-profit agencies in the community.
